Unifi is here
Got unifi VIP10 last Friday. Way faster and reliable. I have to say I'm lovin it except for the link between SEA to USA... and the limited amounts of content we can have due to region restrictions.

BET Awards/ Fight against racism
I think the BET Awards is as racist as it gets....
an award show only for blacks?
and, to those fighting against racism in Malaysia (mainly to my chinese friends and those random idiots running their mouth and anger in facebook/forums)...
You're no different from the Malay supremacists if you include "Babi melayu" or other racial slurs in your argument.
You're fighting against racism yet you're a racist yourself? How the fucking hell does that work?!
Edit : And when things does go your way, you abuse it by calling others racist to gain advantage but hate it when others do the same.

The pain in my mouth
Gaddamn... the pain from the tension of the wires from the braces on my teeth has set in. I can barely chew now and I think I'm having stomach upsets from not chewing my food well....
Pain killers can only do so much. I can still barely chew... looks like it's porridge for a long time =.=
Then again~ I'm sure ice cold cendol would be good too~

Metal mouth
So I just got braces today... feels weird. Just a lil over two weeks since I got back to Malaysia again my mouth is tortured and my chewing capabilities has been crippled.
Last year I had my wisdom tooth removed and it caused a world of pain from eating/drinking cold food. I couldn't really eat and savor most of the Malaysian delicacies because of this. And now 2011... braces.. I could hardly chew my foods and bits and pieces kept getting stuck in between the metal parts.... I hope I get used to this soon and that the process won't be as painful as the dentist says (You'll feel pain at night for the next two days).

Rant : There is no Unifi
The Unifi peeps came Tuesday last week.
Tried to install Unifi. I was excited... til they said they couldn't install it because the underground tunnel used to link the outside fiber optic cable to my house was clogged.
So the alternative was to go for an external wiring which costs at least RM300. Along with that, my parents disapprove of an external wiring because it looks "ugly".
So... for now.. stuck with SHITMYX/SCREAMYX.

Song of the Month July 2011
With all these "politics" going on, every thing anyone does is always related to one or the other party. I'm just sick of it.
That Okay Song by The Effing show
Hey, it's okay.
We gotta live for a better day. (Hey!)
Now we give a little a love and we're on our way
Kita kaotim everything, parava-illay
You say, don't play play
Kita mudah lupa but we say "nay". (Nay!)
Now we got a little love, keep it on replay
You say semua tak boleh, tapi we all okay aje!

Haze 2011
It's that time of year again. It's back to cause people with asthma to stay indoors.
....and it's time for this MV again.
Ribuan-ribuan terima kasih Indonesia. Now if only Malaysia could've sent firefighters (or whatever related team) to help them instead of using most of the force to lock down KL and create more conspiracies and propagandas.
Internet surfing has changed
I remember a time when tabs were in the form of multiple windows and before I figured out how to surf in multiple windows, I used only ONE window.
Back when IE and Netscape browser ruled us all. The distinguished N logo on the top right (or left?).

Music evolution 2011
It used to be rock, alternative, pop, boybands, girl groups in the 90's
Then in 2000s it was a lil bit of rock, a lot of pop... with songs mostly about love songs
And now... since the late 2000's we're getting a whole lot of club music being played mainstream. Almost every mainstream song I hear now is about partying, clubbing and drinking.
"Sick of love songs?" "Won't write a love song?" Well here's the result... a whole lot of lame cheesy lyrics about partying, drinking and looking forward to the weekend (weekend).

Who's right and who's wrong?
When two groups fight for what's right, who's wrong?
When two groups fight for the right thing but the wrong ways, who's wrong?

D-day/ B-day 2.0?
6:53pm : Just woke up. Seems that the situation has calmed down. No reports on the silat masters being deployed. I guess that's it for today. Let's see what happens the next few days and the next year... and 1,401 was reported to be detained
4:42pm : Things have slowed down. Good thing there's not much bloodshed among the groups. Right now all the police did was made everyone their enemy. I'm gonna take a nap. Let's see what happens an hour or two later.
4:02pm : It seems that now the BERSIH peeps are trying to make their way to Istana Negara.... Don't know how much damage this incident has caused to our economy. How badly our image has been shown to the world. And no, this isn't the fault of BERSIH. This could've been avoided if a stadium was provided. All these needless conflicts.
3:16pm : 670 arrested. Ambiga arrested. Khairy arrested. Ibrahim grounded at home by his wife.
2:10pm : Bersih rally goers reported to be in the 10k region. Patriot in the 300s.
Bersih consists of all races. Patriot... just one.
Overseas there are students with the BERSIH people... though someone posted a what-if situation.
"STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP REVOKED FOR SUPPORTING MOVEMENT FOR FAIR AND CLEAN ELECTION FOR THE GREATER BENEFIT OF THE COUNTRY"
1:57pm : Bersih protesters arrested, Anti-Bersih allowed to rally? T-minus 3 minutes til 2pm.
And no... this is not a 13 May 1969 where it was based on race. This is for human rights.
1:20pm : 514 arrested... 4000 protesters still on the street with their numbers growing.
12:50pm : I just read news that our PM is doing the George W. Bush thing during 9/11... Our PM seems to feel that attending other events are more important than this uprising in KL. Either he has full trust with the police or he's just evading things. Only he knows...
12:40pm : It has begun. Tear gas fired to about 2000 protesters, media and pedestrians. No news on the whereabouts of the silat practitioners
12:30pm : Funny how pictures and reports coming in showing people protesting in Melbourne Australia without any restrictions as compared to a city wide blockage in Malaysia...
11am : Just thinking that all these equipments (trucks/tear gas) are finally being used instead of collecting dust and rust in the storage. Would they still work? And reading on.... people are reporting that the police are arresting random pedestrians in KL. Be it with a yellow shirt or not.
Oh, the police has also set up barbed wire fences around Stadium Merdeka it seems.
“We are very concerned about the various measures that are being taken by the authorities to restrict freedom of expression in Malaysia, including preventive detention, and the Government’s decision to reportedly declare Bersih an unlawful organization,” said Mr. Colville.
Could've handled it better as I've said... Didn't have to put so much negative attention on our country.
And now for some conspiracy theory. Why was a stadium denied? So that the BERSIH people will rally as planned which defies the Yang di-pertuan Agong's orders/wishes. That way those who march on that day can be charged for 'treason?' .
Today... it might be a new page in the history books of Malaysia.

The night before the rally
Stadium denied.
Roads blocked.
3 hours stuck in traffic jam from Sunway to Wangsa Maju...
...by public transportation. People were calm. People went on about their normal lives. Either they don't care or those who are involved in tomorrow's rally are already in meetings/ having a nights rest for tomorrow.
It seems that the rally's going on since BERSIH was denied the stadium of their choice...
Cops are also denying others from protesting the rally.
We shall see.... I still think they should've just given them the gaddamn stadium but then again, the protesting group will protest more since they also wanted the same stadium.... Ish....
Peaceful rally? Let's hope so. I still want my unifi on Tuesday without any problems/ chaos.

2days to Bersih 2.0 rally?
Update on events
Things were getting heated up until the Yang di-pertuan Agong (aka King) voiced his opinions that the rally will bring more harm than good and that he trusts the government will be able to handle this.
BERSIH organizers adheres to the Agong's wishes as well as our PM's suggestion to hold the rally in a stadium (which he offered before the Agong made his statement).
Then, came backlash... the stadium refuses to rent the place out for the rally.
Police are still arresting people and creating roadblocks all around the Kuala Lumpur city area as a precaution if the rally should go on in the city.
Our PM was also seen with Silat practitioners (Malay martial arts) that they will retaliate as well.
My reactions/opinions?
First good speech on the Agong in his attempt to cool the situation down. Wise choice for the BERSIH organizers to take the PM's offer to hold their rally at a stadium. Honestly as much as I support the cause, I wouldn't want Malaysia to have a nationwide war where people start fighting amongst each other. It's bad enough that in everyday life in Malaysia people are always picking fights over small things... but now it's a big scale.
Then came the stadium's denial of allowing the rally to take place along with this news of our PM sitting and doing nothing with Silat practitioners while they were on the verge of inciting violence.
I liken this to me teasing my dog with food. Sometimes I tease them with snacks. Wave it around showing them it's there but refuse to give it to them. (For fucks sake, don't go saying that I'm viewing the government as dog owners and everyone else as dogs. I'm just using this as an example).
If you offer a stadium, give a stadium... don't deny them it since they've already agreed to hold it in one. If you refuse, I predict that they will go on with their initial plans because since they've already hated they way you're running things. What's more, you're hinting over and over again be it directly or indirectly that you're gonna resort to violence. Definitely won't go unnoticed to those potential voters you're trying to get.
Give them the stadium. Let them scream their hearts out in an enclosed space. Everywhere else in the city will be clear and relatively safe. No extremist-racist group PERKASA going around inciting hatred and racism. And our PM will be acknowledged for handling the situation well. Deny them the stadium and well... they'll take it to the streets... and then.... ish... my Liverpool tickets might be rendered useless.

Rant : Too much spam sms's
Prepaid users receiving alot of sms's I can understand. Postpaid users? Why the hell?
I noticed in Malaysia, prepaid users pay LESS than postpaid users to make calls. Why is that? Yea, the companies can get some cash from the spam they sent out to us but as a postpaid user I'd expect to not see any of these spams since I'm already paying more to make calls and send sms's.
Another thing, I just registered this phone number and I'm already receiving numerous spam messages. No it doesn't hurt but it's annoying to have your phone ringing/notifying you almost every hour that a new message has arrived that is of unimportance to you.

Rant : Internet SUCKS
Screamyx TMNUT... you suck
A 5 mb file is downloaded at 5kb/s on your 1MBPS line. That took me almost 20 minutes of waiting.
