Poodle abuse case 2011

Last week Friday, came a viral video on facebook depicting a man trying to train a poodle on how to stand on its hind legs. Whenever it goes back on four, the man would smack the poodle angrily and viciously.

The video, claimed to be found by a woman in a shopping complex on a thumb drive. Not caring about other people's privacy, she plugged in the thumb drive to her computer and found a video in it. Thinking it could be another Edison Chen scandal waiting to happen, she double clicked the video file and found this video.
Thinking to herself that she could gain recognition from finding this, she posted that video on youtube and (maybe it was her that posted it on) facebook as well rather than to send this to the police or SPCA.

So now on facebook, there's this huge following on trying to get the man arrested. Through the video, many came up and claimed that they knew the man in the video along with his friends.
In these past few days, some internet detective work was conducted by fans of the facebook group against this dog abuser to pinpoint who the man is. They "found" him and her.

The accused couple based on internet/facebook search had evidence pointing to them from their profile pictures. This has led the couple to receive countless and endless death threats from the kind hearted Malaysians. Telling them to die, kill themselves and cursing their family and friends.

Today, news came out that the man that was accused wasn't the man in the video. His defense is that he has no tattoos on unlike the man in the video. Being Malaysian who cannot accept anything else but 'their own' truth, some members of the fan group said that he could've removed the tattoos or had used a washable one during the filming of the video...

Below is an extract from a comment I posted on facebook (not their fan page)

I went to the fan page and the moment I saw death threats and defamatory remarks... I know that majority of the people who liked that page (to get the couple into jail) are retards....
I know you're pissed off but to go and curse his family, his mom, his dad, etc. That just shows how intelligent/ educated most of these 'fans' are.
Heck I was looking at some of the photos uploaded... comments from the some users are supporting abuse of animals...

Take the image below for an example (disturbing content)

Really? You're supporting it and yet you show such anger/hatred towards the poor thing. Even though it could be a joke, remember what happened when this dude 'jokingly' said that he was the one responsible for the Church attacks back in Jan 2010? He was arrested.

Seriously people... think before you start dissing others. It gives a bad impression on you and if many follows, our own country.

My glasses is weak.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the glasses I wear today is gonna break within the next few weeks.... I tend to adjust it and it irritates my nose bridge and the top of my ears which it hangs from.

It could be from me being tired staring at the computer all day long or because the lens are starting to scratch up or more likely it's about to break like my old glasses...

Recap : My old glasses broke when I tried to adjust the bridge... I applied maybe too much force over it's worn out brittle frame and broke the glasses in half....

Kenny Dalglish

So I was watching this documentary of Kenny Dalglish on liverpoolfc.tv
It shows his achievements during the late 80s/early 90s and what he's done inbetween the years before taking over Roy Hodgson as Liverpool manager.

This man is just amazing. Not only was he a phenomenal soccer player, he was even a player-coach during Liverpool's glorious days in the EPL. It was sad that the Hillsborough incident happened. It saddened and affected him a lot and along with the 4-4 draw in a Merseyside derby back then, caused him to leave Liverpool.

Even so, in 1995/1996, he managed to bring Blackburn the EPL title. He even went to funerals of almost every victim of the Hillsborough incident. How many people do you know would go to such extent.

Now, he's having the tough challenge of bringing back Liverpool to it's glorious days. Dubbed as King Kenny by fans, I wonder if the current squad can be saved from the slumps. Hopefully Kenny can do it better than Hodgson.

PS : It seems Babel's leaving Liverpool. Nothing to do with that Twitter remark of him but good to see that he still fights for the club even though he was leaving. But it's kinda dumb that he lost 10,000 pounds just before he left. Hopefully he gets more playing chances. He as a lot of untapped potential but 3 managers didn't really help him to bring it out. Good luck in your future club.

So Ryan Babel just got fined 10,000 pounds for posting this picture of Howard Webb (the referee of the Man U v Liverpool FA Cup clash) for giving out a penalty for a tame tackle...

Zodiac sign of my college years (well.. first 24 years of my life)

So I've heard that some astrological association decided to finally change the dates for each zodiacs and added in a 13th zodiac, Ophiuchus.

So for 24 years I've been a Scorpio (and happy with it) and now I've gotta change to a Libra....
Downgraded from a scorpion to balance scales...

What about horoscopes? Kudut mentioned that he's changed from a Libra to a Virgo... but Virgo's are said to be neat. No, kudut isn't neat as admitted by him.

So how does horoscope predictions/behaviors adjust to the change? Will all the traits of a scorpio (before the change) be under Libras instead?

More info on why astrologist's decides to change it can be watched in the video below.

January Updates

Got a new number for my phone
Got my phone screen protected at last

Went for snowboarding, fell a lot. Almost able to challenge a different slope other than the training hills without getting myself killed.
Twisted/sprained/injured my wrist slightly from falling too much.

Cranium all night long. Girls won us 3-1, close games. In our defense, it was 5 girls vs 3 guys. REMATCH I SAY.

It's snowing like there's no tomorrow. Forecast predicts 8 inches of snow accumulated for the next 24 hours.

New semester started. Lots of snow. So glad I don't have to go for class.

Note to self. End your useless life, get a job.

Song of the month Jan 2011

Edward Maya & Jika Vigulina - Stereo Love

Racist newspapers?

So according to an article in the Malaysian Insider, it's said that a local newspaper (Utusan Malaysia, a malay language newspaper) of being racist and a government propaganda. They even backed up their claims which shows a less than 10% decrease in sales of the newspaper.

Yes, it is racist on certain articles but the statistical data is pathetic. Arguing that a 5% decrease in sales is a result from racism is just a desperate move. Technology advanced and many now refer to using computers/internet to get their news without paying extra each month for daily news. Even so, among the 5% of ex-Utusan readers, I doubt most of them stop buying the papers because of racism.

Source : Malaysia Insider

Edit : Apparently many people are applauding for this... Yea, but find better evidence to proof that the low % decrease is because of readers finding the racist remarks to be the reason of their discontinuity of purchasing the newspapers. If not, I'd say this is just a publicity stunt.

PS : I do not approve of racism except among close friends.

Welcome to 2011

Happy New Year everybody!
