So I had to take my dog to the vet again since he kept getting himself injured. In the past he kept getting his feet injured and in turn led to flies laying eggs in the open wound. If taken care of, there shouldn't be any maggots hatching from the inside.
Last week or two, I noticed he was licking his paw and saw there's an open wound and applied medications to it. Few days later, he started limping and I feared that maggots might have infested his paw. Took him to the vet and thankfully it was nothing...
.... UNTIL yesterday. He was limping off again even after medications and treatments.... Today, took him to the vet and even though the hole was closed, there was another injury on the underside of the paw which wasn't there the week before. Peeked in and saw those white/brownish little bastards slithering about in that huge hole incomparable to last weeks. The stench was wretched and foul of rotting flesh.
I just hope that's the end of this...pains me to see him suffer.
Wanna see how such wound looks like? Look up "maggot wound injury" on google. But be warned, not for those who are squeamish or those easily disgusted.
