The double down

KFC just introduced a new food item called double down.

2 Chicken Breasts

2 Bacons

2 Cheese

I'm sure you can see where it gets its name.

Last Monday after a month of hype among friends, we finally head over to the only KFC in Ames hoping to indulge ourselves in this so called death sandwich.

At the end of the night, none of us had even a bite of it. No it wasn't sold out, we didn't even order it at all. We opt for the usual KFC buffet...

All that hype for over a month and we didn't even order it. This is what I'll call from now on, 'The Double Down'.

To hype over getting or doing something but in the end not doing it.
