Kudut the LEGEND!
Time : September 30th 2007, 0245
Location : 7238 Freddy Court
.....
........
...........
Kudut became a legend among mamaks.
By drinking almost a whole bottle of maple syrup, he is no longer what he used to be.
Kudut, IS........... MapleSyrupMamak (MSM)
What does people have to say about him?
Zi Ting "This is fucking sweet! UGHHH" (After drinking merely 1% of what Kudut drank)
Alex "Fuck...." (After drinking a sip of it)
Sky and Eric "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" (Throughout the whole time)
Now, we pay TRIBUTE to the legend. MAPLESYRUPMAMAK!

It ain't pretty to see.... SCROLL DOWN AT YOUR OWN RISK!
By the way, THANKS for making my toilet smell like maple syrup.....

Pictures from Rachel's birthday pt2
Material Demonstration tools. This guy played with fire/ liquid nitrogen !! :D
A porcelain piece that was used for Space Shuttles that can withstand heat up to 3000 Fahrenheit. Burn heat on one side and the other side will still be room temperature. The burn mark you see is made after he melted a penny (1 sen coin)
Sohai face + sohai tag = So Hai
......... and he's proud of it
Rachel's Birthday, Anya's birthday (Sorry if i mispelt her name).
Two birthday girls battling out. Seems like Rachel's getting owned
One of the scenery from Brookside Park.
One of the best pics I've taken.
Another veiw of the park
Buster! ZOMG FUCKING CUTE.
Another shot of Buster.... I better upload the video up before I forgot about it.
Buster isn't as cute as he seems. He's really quite fierce.
The two other dogs are Bucky and B----(forgot the other name but I know all the dog's name start with the letter B).
Thanks to his owner for letting me and my friend take pics of them
Gonna go off cooking and studying now. Weekend's over, another drunk night, another week more to suffer.....
And if you're wondering where is part 1, I figured it's best if I don't post it up for MY sake....

Welcome to the Malaysian Association's store room. (It's fucking scary when it's dark)
Home cooked fried rice. Still needs some perfection. The rice was soggy because I used half cooked rice. The drink on the left is bubble tea, gatorade grape flavour.
Some freaky porcelain dog in my friend's room. I wonder how he's able to sleep with this in his room....
Right, I'm done posting some pics and relieving some stress.....
Seriously at some point I was thinking of smoking/ drugs (anti depressant pills)/ drinking..... I shall see how long I can last... It ain't easy due to the temptations of a easy way out..... ><

REAL spider pig
Freezing....
Okay so maybe NOT to the point where everything freezes. The weather is still cold enough to make your nose feel like it froze and is about to drop off like Micheal Jackson's silicon nose.
The wind is about 33km/h at some point of the day. To give you a perspective on how strong that is, imagine a wind blowing at you and you felt like it could push you back if you were on a rollerblade/skateboard. Now add that wind power with the temperature of 3 degrees celcius. Yes, it's THAT cold.
Though weirdly, this chilly weather will only last for a week. Yeap, for the past one week I've been experiencing what seems to be the temperature of the fall season but next week onwards (Monday and beyonddddddd) it'll be almost as hot as Kuala Lumpur again. Though the nights will be as cold as last week.
Temperature aside, I'm currently running low on cash. About $160 left in my account and I wanted to get myself a new set of speakers.
Some of you might ask, "Why don't you work for the money?"
Well if you guys have read my previous posts, you would well understand that studying here isn't as easy as it seems. I've been struggling with homework that took up most of my time.
BUT~ now, it seems that I've found some help and managed to cope up with studies. I might be able to get a job by next week.
Note : I drank again last night......

Back to Classes
The weekend is over. Back to the weekdays when class and assignments need to be handed in.
So far things aren't looking so good. It took me 3 days to solve ONE question. Which is fairly straight forward........
Why did it take so long?
-I don't understand the question
-I don't understand the method of solving
-I don't know how to use the information I have to solve the problem
-My lecturer isn't doing a good job
-I'm just stupid (but lets not go there)
-There's a horse barn beside my residence hall (That didn't really affect me but I just felt like putting something random in here)
Imagine, it takes 3 days to solve one question.... and each week I get four or more of those questions from 3++ different classes. It's HELL.
I'm done ranting so thus back to facing reality......

I almost failed my classes.........
First things first... I almost failed my PHYS 221 class.
Why? Apparently for 2 consecutive written homeworks, I've only been answering one question. I didn't notice that there were more than 1 question so I happily handed in the homework for two weeks.
Then when I got back my first week homework, I wondered why I got a 1/10 score...... There were actually 4 questions which totals to 10 marks.
This really got me when I asked the guy beside me and he told me that this week's homework also has 4 problems to solve.
ARGHH!!!
So there goes 18 marks out of 140........
And, right now, I'm currently doing my CHEM 210 homework which is due tomorrow.
We were given 8 questions.
8 FUCKING SHORT QUESTIONS WITH FUCKING LONG ANSWERS.
Not just that, it's FUCKING HARD because the lecturer didn't really explain much IMO.
How hard you ask? I've been staring down at one question for 2 hours trying to figure out how to do it yet nothing. I finally skipped that and managed to finish off 3 questions in 2 hours. That just means 5 more questions to go........
I have been thinking on why did she gave 8 questions this week when the previous weeks the max questions were only 5 or 4 and there weren't any branches (a, b, c, etc. etc.). Somehow this week ALL BECAUSE OF LABOR DAY (and because Malaysia's Merdeka day), she had to up the notch by giving us more work to do.
I WOULD love to swear and curse more but I'd rather not. She might google this page up and find me so I shall stop here for now and get back on my work.....
Btw, side note, PHYS 221 is hard as well... though the lecturer/professor explain things more clearly.

Paintball in the US
........ is so much different from paintball in Malaysia.
It's more messy (since there are more players)
The game area is 2 times larger than Malaysia's
I see 12 year old kids playing @@
The play area is in the jungle with some obstacles
This time I got shot
-left wrist, left thumb, right shoulder, and left butt cheek
..........they HURT though can't be comparable to my two other friends who each gotten their third and fourth nipple....

Feeling wierd in Ames Iowa
Hrmmm, after nearly 3 weeks here, I finally felt the effects of culture shock.
Call me slow if you must. I admit it.
The first two weeks here I started getting on with life smoothly. Now, I felt like I'm somehow living in a parallel universe.
I can't really express my current feelings of my surroundings in words. Everything just felt weird and out of place. This could be the side effects of eating subway sandwiches almost every week for either lunch/dinner/snacks.
I should probably sue Subway for getting me high....
Ahh well... tomorrow night, it's drinkin' again. This time, no more shots......
Btw, today is Thursday 30th August. I'm 13 hours behind time so I'll only be celebrating Merdeka the next day....
Though I'm feeling it now. That means I have 37 hours to celebrate Merdeka...... without a holiday (or two from what I heard)

Study life in Iowa
Since living here in Ames, I finally have a sense of freedom and semi-independence in life (I still need my parents to pay my fees). Things at first seem confusing but I am getting the hang of it.
After two weeks living here, I can safely say that I feel like I'm in a better environment to study in.
-No one bothering me to do chores
-My dad not around to ask me to do chores
-My mom not around to nag around
-My sisters not around to irritate me
Yeah, the situation here is calm.
I even found time to eat out, cook, do laundry, go to gym, play basketball and still have time to do other stuff. (Of course study too).
So here's to a new way of life!

Destination Iowa pt 2
So I was at Chicago after the flight. Was there and realized that it's hot and sunny...
I expected it to be cold and orange but instead the weather is hot like Malaysia. I'm probably the only idiot wearing a jacket there....
Well that probably wasnt the worst part, the connecting plane i was supposed to take was delayed.... for 2 HOURS. There I was sitting in the waiting section and I noticed some white guys in uniforms which looked like pilots. I overheard them saying "I don't know what's going on, even WE couldn't get on the plane". Ugh... You know things are bad when even the pilots can't enter the plane.
Time goes by........ and I'm finally in Des Moines (pronounced as Deh-Moyn). Time of arrival, 12.30am. Time of arrival at Ames Iowa, 3am (due to some delays in the transportation and luggage claims).
Just when I thought nothing could be worst, when I tried entering my room in the apartment, I was given the wrong key. So I have no choice but to sleep on the couch. I couldn't sleep. So I got up and bath. All my clothings are in the luggage bag so I gotta open it up. And thus my luck became worst, the bag lock is broken and I have to break it to open it up (nothing serious, just breaking the zip, but the security lock is useless now).
And thus..... begins my first day at Iowa State University........ at 5.30am =.=
I won't go too detail about the orientation because I'm too lazy to recall everything so I'll just leave it and go on with life.
Pictures coming as soon as I find time to upload them. (Or motivate myself to upload them)

In Ames Iowa
Okay first of all let me just say that the plans in my previous post didnt turn out well and wasn't followed. 100%
Next, I'M IN AMES IOWA!!! woot!
It's already been almost 1 week and I'm kinda getting used to things here slowly but surely.
And regretting of taking that shot of alcohol. It's 50% alcohol and I noticed it only after I drank it. About 20 minutes later..... my allergy system kicked in and here I am red as ever. Itchy too. =.=
Though now let's flash back all the way to the day of departure
In KLIA, after giving my goodbyes to my family I honestly felt nothing. Though I feel like i should feel something but still felt nothing. I'm cold.....
Then while waiting for my delayed flight (1 hour =.=) I started to get nervous. Those who know me well knows that when I'm nervous it's not exactly a good thing since I'll have gastric pains and all those.
Even worst, was when I was on the plane and started scaring myself and thinking of stuff that made me more nervous like leaving Malaysia and worrying about my parents and such....
So for 3 hours and 45 minutes, I was constantly trying to calm myself down
Upon reaching Hong Kong, I've calmed down a little. Now instead of worrying, adrenaline kicks in and I'm excited to head over to the states. Thus I was at the Hong Kong airport waiting for my flight which was 2 hours upon my landing (thanks to the delay).
Well the flight to Chicago went very smoothly. No delay or problems at all.. Though I'm kinda stunned that skinny old white ladies were the stewardess'. Not to mention with heavy make up.
The food wasn't all that good either but edible. I hardly finish whatever they gave me...

IF Micheal Jackson is my friend.....
Why am I writing this? Because I'm too hyper. I blame SanFrancisco's "Caramel-by-the-sea" coffee for making me like this....
That drink doesn't taste like I'm at sea or anywhere near it. Also, you could hardly taste ANY caramel. Only thing that could be tasted was the bitterness of coffee. So, thank you San Francisco's Coffeehouse for keeping me awake and bringing me back to my half dead blog.
Since I'm hyper and VERY awake now at this hour (almost 3am)....
I shall write a 1000 word essay on... "IF Micheal Jackson is my friend...."
IF Micheal Jackson is my friend, it would be so much fun trying to distort his face. (Don't worry, I use gloves.)
<>
The end.
....I just failed my english

07-07-07
Some how I have a feeling that I should blog about this day even though I have nothing to blog about....
It's 07-07-07.
Many might say it's a lucky day since there's triple 7's. Heck luckier if you wake up at 7am 7th min 7th milisecond. If there were a 77th minute, the day would be 07-07-07 07-07-77. Okay the last double 7 seems off but why bother? More 7's means more luck no?
While typing this I realized how this day and date reminds me of James Bond.... but I'll just stop here because I cant think of anything at the moment to talk about J.B.
07-07-07.
A day where Singaporeans and Malaysians alike will flock to buy 4D numbers hoping to win some big buck. I think it's rather stupid that many actually think that they'll be lucky. IF 1million people did buy, not all of them will win either ways. The possibility of winning is 1/9999.
Then again looking at the stupidity of our culture, I'm not surprised if all the 4D stores/booths will be packed by instant millionaires wannabes.
But then again there's only TWO winners :
-The guys running the 4D business
-Me laughing at the stupidity of Malaysians/Singaporeans
Now think. If 07-07-07 all 4D stations are crowded with peoople.... imagine how it was last year when it was 06-06-06.
Probably you see Churches/Mosques/Temples being filled. Unlucky? I doubt it. The Churches/Mosques/Temples probably got more donation/income on that day compared to the amount they could've earned for the rest of the 364 days.
Ah~ let's not forget the people that actually worship Satan. Probably they drew a summoning circle hoping to see Satan or whatever ritual they do..... doesnt concern me either ways.
That's it. Sidenote : There's this Green/Environmental Concert happening somewhere in KL today but I dont really feel interested. Maybe I dont really care about the Earth.... or maybe because I think that concert/awareness program is only aimed for the litterbugs/uneducated ones in the society.

Autobots, ROLL OUT!!
Finally watched Transformers and wow.. what an action packed ride that was :D
MEGAN FOX IS HOT though she didn't get much on screen time.
Storyline/Plot :
What storyline? Deceptions come to Earth to look for the Allspark. Autobots come to stop them. Humans are caught inbetween. That's about it.
Though, the movie shows that about 100 years ago, the Deceptions were already here and makes me wonder why the hell it took the autobots 100 years to get to Earth =.=??!
Here's a sequence of one part of the movie...
-Looks for glasses
-Found glasses (Which is a map to the allspark)
-Allspark found (without the help of the glasses)
-Boy climbs up building (a very tall one) to give the allspark to heli
-Boy never sweats/ pants/ get tired
-Heli get's shot down without receiving the allspark
-Boy gets back down (the fast way)
So basically there are some parts that doesnt fit and it's just there to make the movie longer than it should be....

Transformers~ MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE (reminescence of cicak man)
Goin to watch Transformers in the evening later with Justin/Renuka/Aaron and Jeremy (at last after a few days of finding out that tickets are sold out).
But then.. somehow or rather, I'm reminded of the Cicakman experience last year(around December)....
Sequence of events (of the forgotten date when I went to watch Cicakman)
-Went to MidValley
-Lined up to buy tickets
-Reached the counter and asks for 4 tickets for Cicakman(Me, Aaron, Paul and Jeremy)
-The counter lady(Indian) then looked at me with a confused/surprised face and said "This is a Malay movie"
-I replied... "Yea I know"
-She looked at me for a while (Handsome mah), and then processed/printed out the tickets
-Watched the movie which is DAMN DRAGGY. Lots of scenes that has no meaning and could be deleted.
-Apparently when they said the movie is around 60%~80% special effects, I was hoping something good. But those are all LAME EFFECTS THAT ARE BEING REPEATED OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN ALMOST EVERY SCENE.
-The characters are TOO STUPID AND UNREALISTIC. Except for the main character's childhood friend.
-The script was poorly written. The sequence of the movie is BADLY arranged. Kinda sad and I can't believe I'm saying this.... but I had high hopes for that movie. Mana tahu that a cicak's tail which seperated from the cicak's body is more interesting to watch than this movie.
-Some parts are interesting and funny (esp the part when there were newspaper clippings of the 'good deeds' Mr Cicakman does"
-Somehow... after the movie... we all went making cicak noises....
and now for a random picture!!!

Flight Plans Revisted
Okay..... bad news about my flight plan =.=
First of all, I'm departing from KL to HK at 9.15AM (local malaysian time)
Then, after a hectic 19 hour journey, I'll reach Des Moines at 2335 local time.......on the same day
Now comes the question..... where the hell am I supposed to stay?! I aint gonna sleep in the airport. My self consciousness wont allow me to fall asleep.
According to the email sent by ISU, it says that I need to find a motel somewhere and pay $65 a night ><
I dont have much of a choice here unless someone is willing to pick me up THAT LATE.... if not off to a motel I go....

June Desktop
It's been a while since I've posted a screenshot of my desktop. No~ it hasnt been the same as the last post I posted. It changed a few times but I didnt bother to take a screen shot of it.
For now, it's June.
Under the dark sky, still 53days more til I depart from Malaysia to US.
Can't keep my excitement.
Killing time till that day arrives.
*Acronym for F.U.C.K.

My American Accent
What American accent do you have? (Best version so far) Western Like Midland, Western is a default, neutral, sounds-good-on-the-evening-news accent. So you might not actually be from the West (but you probably are). |
